User manual

To make the concrete primer, add 15 or 30 liters of water to a bucket, depending on the package size. Mix for 1 minute to avoid clumping, and then allow the mixture to thicken for about 15 minutes until it is ready for use. You can use the gel in the same way as cement; adjust the amount of primer based on the specific situation. Although Prime-a-Pump does not affect the concrete, it is advisable to collect it, especially when pouring polished or exposed concrete.

When pumping downhill, a ball placed in front of the primer helps ensure that all surfaces of the pipeline are fully primed.

The total amount of primer required depends on the entire pipeline system being primed.

A small bottle of Prime-a-Pump (225 g) is roughly equivalent to using 1 x 25 kg of cement.

A large bottle of Prime-a-Pump (450 g) is roughly equivalent to using 2 x 25 kg of cement.

Safety Note

If Prime-a-Pump is mixed and spilled, the affected areas should be covered with sand or a similar material. Washing away with water is also an option.

Important Notes

Prime-a-Pump is not a concrete admixture and is therefore not intended to be added directly to the concrete mix. In accordance with established practice codes, all primers, along with the leading edge of the concrete, should be disposed of outside the pour area.
